
If you can no longer log in to our system, this could be due to several factors.
It may be that you have incorrectly entered your HSG-password multiple times. Your user account will be temporarily locked if you have entered the wrong password five times. The account is automatically unlocked again after an hour.
It is also possible that you have forgotten your HSG-password or that it may no longer be valid. Our Password Service is available to assistant you.
To use the Password Service, however, you must have set it up in advance. Once configured, you can reset your password at any time by simply answering a series of predefined questions.
The Password Service also allows you to change your password at any time and from any location.
When selecting a new HSG-password, you should consider the following criteria:
- password must consist of at least 8 characters
- password is case-sensitive, i.e. contains upper and lower case letters
- please avoid using special symbols or characters such as umlauts as these can cause problems
- recently used passwords must not be immediately reused
Employees must change their password every 183 days. (This requirement does not apply to students for reasons of practicality.) If your password has already expired, the Password Service will no longer work. In this case, employees should contact our Service Desk. Students should contact the tutors in room 01-U207.
